Afro-Heritage is an Afro-UK based band formed by Elvis Gumorazvo and his friends Tinashe, Clive, Blessing, Jacob, Godwin, Dougie and Isaac. These talented boys are here to give you a pleasant Afro-fusion jazz music.
Zimbabwean born Elvis Gumorazvo is a vocalist, drummer, percussionist and choreographer. Tinashe Murembeni plays drums, sings and is the producer. Clive plays the part from rhythm keyboards and backing vocals. Blessing plays the lead keyboards, basses and sub-rhythm and is also a sweet vocalist. Apart from Tinashe there is yet another drummer Mr Jacob. Godwin plays the lead guitar, Dougie keyboards, drums and singing. Last but not least, Mr Isaac the bassman.
Afro-heritage band offers you sweet Afro-jazz music, Afro Pop and different kinds of international genres .The guys have travelled a lot in the UK since 2005. They have played at big concerts, festivals, carnivals, private gigs, etc. For example, the Womad 2005, Glastonbury Manchester Carnival, London-Zim festivals. They have also shared the stage with big African groups like Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, Thomas Mapfumo, Yousoundour, Wenge Musica, Britania, Rhumba, Hohodza Band etc and from the past gigs the boys have left the crowd asking for more.
Afro-Heritage Band :Elvis Gumorazvo is one of the first Zimbabweans to form a boy band internationally and also offer the community around him services like drumming workshops, dancing workshops and so on. Elvis Gumorazvo, a talented percussionist also works with young children teaching African percussion especially from reception age to year 5 then older ones for real musical workshops and has done so in a number of schools in most of the Great Britain towns. The boys who are busy recording their album titled THIS WORLD are also moving around doing their gigs as usual and they are ready to play any advance booked gigs, the Afro-Heritage band boys play at any type of gig any time that’s why they call em the ANYTIME BOYZ.
