NAISON: Born on the 6th of October 1979 in Harare, grew up in Mbare before relocating to Kuwadzana 6 just before immigrating to United Kingdom.I got intrested in music after watching Simon Chimbetu performing shortly after his release from prison, it was his drummer (Brian Kabengele) who caught my eye, the manner in which he played that day gave me inspiration to become a drummer. Three years after that I was playing drums for Simon Chimbetu, it was like a dream the way it happened, there I was playing drums for my Hero which was the real reason I started drumming in the first place.

It was long road to success for me after being snubbed by System Tazvida, Arron Chakanyuka and other artist I can't even remember their names. It was not until I met Naison Chimbetu who gave my first job as a drummer before I was scouted by R&K African Sounds during a show at Dzivarasekwa.

I joined R&K African Sounds in 1999 and went straight into the studio to record their second album which produced their second number one Tina Part2 and we won 2 awards in 2000 (best song, best group).

Imbongi is the group which I give half the credit in my music career they taught me how to be a proffesional drummer they gave confidence and self belief.

I joined Simon Chimbetu in December 2000 after he saw me playing for R&K at Jenaguru at National Sports Stadium, in 2001 I played the drums on the track Siya Magumbeze from African Panorama Chapter2. The same year I played drums on each and every track on Brian Chimbetu's 2001 release before recording Naison Chimbetu's 2002 release.

In 2002 I played the drums on each and every track on Simon Chimbetus Hoko album before I left in the summer of 2002.

I've been involved in urban music since 2006 through my cousin STAR-G and his friend 2SHORT. Now I think being a solo urban artist's been a destiny for me and this is what I'm gonna settle for.
